The Mighty Vibe is a convenient and worry-free way to listen to music while exercising, camping, boating or doing day-to-day activities around the house. If you use the same playlists, you only have to worry about setup once. To keep things as simple as possible, the “stay fresh” technology updates your playlists on the Mighty Vibe automatically. However, to get the offline functionality that makes this device so desirable, the extra step is a necessity. It can be time-consuming to get your Mighty Vibe ready for your first workout. Arguably the biggest downside is the setup and syncing. Though it’s a minor concern, the unit requires roughly 30 seconds to start up, which can be frustrating for individuals who are anxious to begin their workout. If anything ever does go wrong with your Mighty Vibe, however, customer service is very responsive. The device can be fully submerged without fear of damage and it’s rugged enough to handle a little accidental misuse. The Mighty Vibe also has voiceover playlist navigation - it speaks the name of the current playlist through your headphones. It’s easy to use and it has large, intuitive controls. Because there is no screen, you won’t get distracted by social media feeds or games while you’re exercising. Since the Mighty Vibe clips onto your clothing and can be listened to offline, you don’t have to worry about dropping or damaging your smartphone while working out. You can purchase the Mighty Vibe at the Mighty website. The company also offers a hard shell storage case for $14.99. If you lose your charging cable or just prefer to keep a backup on hand, those are available for $9.99. After each drop, there was a little crackling and some breaking up of the signal, but the Mighty Vibe never lost connection and ended up providing a smooth listening experience. Over the course of the trial period, we tested the limits of the Mighty Vibe by running the music and purposely dropping the device on the ground and into shallow water. Once charged, the unit lasts approximately 5 hours. While the unit can reach roughly half a charge in 20 minutes, it typically requires an hour to fully charge. The instructions recommend charging the Mighty Vibe for a solid hour before using. As long as you have a pair of headphones, either wired or wireless, you can listen to your downloaded music offline for as long as the battery lasts. The Mighty Vibe has 8GB of onboard storage which can hold over 1,000 songs, though this number is dependent on the length of the individual songs. This is why you must have a Premium Spotify account - free accounts don’t allow you to download audio. When you sync audio content to your Mighty Vibe, you’re actually downloading the tracks to the device, so you no longer have to be connected to the internet to listen.
